Lisa Stewart has held a number of positions across Texas A&M University at Galveston since beginning there in 2012. After roles in financial aid, recruitment, admissions, and communications, Lisa now serves as the Director of the Center for Academic Learning Support (CALS). She loves the opportunity this gives her to impact student success in a variety of ways through the support programs housed in CALS, including first year experience and advising, curricular support services, and targeted population programming. Prior to her time at A&M Galveston, Lisa held positions at Rice University, Lone Star College, University of Pennsylvania, and a number of organizations in the private industry. She earned her bachelor's degree in Studio Art and Graphic Design at the University of Notre Dame, her masters in Higher Education at the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently working on her doctorate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University. Outside of work, Lisa loves participating in community events in Galveston, where she was recently named to the 2021 40 Under 40 list. She is also the very proud mom of 3-year-old Tilly and 6-year-old Dean.
